What’s this all about?
We were told there would be a ‘tsunami’ of mental health claims flowing into the workers’ compensation system due to NSW businesses not properly complying with NSW’s WHS and workers’ compensation laws.
We believe that the fundamental problem facing NSW workplaces relate to the laws themselves, in that they:
are poorly understood by employers, workers and case managers,
are not fit for purpose because they were originally designed for physical injuries, and
often conflict with other workplace laws, such as industrial relations, privacy and anti-discrimination laws.
So we decided to do something about it.
This program is designed for you, the SME, who is doing your best to understand and comply with these legal requirements.
We’d also love to hear your thoughts – your feedback helps us make sensible and practical recommendations to Government.
