What is changing as of 1 October 2026?
From 1 October 2026 the types of treatments and services to be given or provided to an injured worker under the NSW workers’ compensation scheme will change in two ways:
Certain types of treatment and services will no longer be available to an injured worker, and
Of those types of treatments and services that remain available, only those that are ‘reasonable and necessary’ (as opposed to being ‘reasonably necessary’) will be provided for.
