Mental Health in SMEs

We’re launching a three-year project designed to support NSW SMEs with practical resources guides, webinars, and statewide events focused on workplace laws relating to mental health.

At the conclusion of each year, we will deliver a report to the NSW Government containing findings and recommendations in relation to improving those laws, based on feedback from you, the SME.

This work is made possible through the support of the EML Group via its Mutual Benefits Funding Program.

The WHS Series

An introduction to general WHS principles and obligations

This series of six guides provide an overview of those health and safety duties owed by each type of duty holder and describe how important it is to incorporate good consultation and management commitment practices into your workplace.

An in-depth series explaining how to apply those legal principles to the psychosocial hazard of workplace bullying.

We’ve developed written guides, webinars, and a podcast with subject matter experts who can provide simple and practical measures into your business systems, making it easier for you to comply.

It’s confusing enough to understand what the word ‘psychosocial’ means, let alone know how to manage the workplace risks which it describes.

Webinars

Our webinars are designed to complement the legal information found in the written articles.

While the articles explain the ‘what’ (your legal obligations for managing mental health conditions in the workplace are), the webinars explain the ‘how’.

We know you are busy running your business, so we’ve decided to keep them as short and as practical as possible so you can easily include our suggested tips and tools into your business practices and procedures.
